Before anything else, you need to know that this movie will not be covering every part of Steve Job’s life. One of the things that i wanted to see really badly was his career in building up Pixar but that is not featured in this movie. But i did like the balance on the parts that made this movie interesting. To be fair, I guess there has to be much more to say about Steve Jobs than a 2-hour movie. In fact i think that i’d rather have a bit of focus on a part of Steve Job’s life than have it scattered all over. So in this movie, a couple of things were not covered about his life so don’t be overly disappointed when the movie ends; and you haven’t had enough of Steve Jobs lol. Lessons i learned in the movieSteve can’t you just enjoy the movie and leave it at that?! But… I AM enjoying the movie.. Alright you guys all know that i’m a big fan of lessons and wisdom and inspirations so let me have a little of that ok! Anyways here are 3 things that i learned from the movie. Steve Jobs Lesson #1 Everthing is ImportantOne is one of the key mindsets of Steve Jobs. I believed he said something like: everything is important. How you do anything is how you do everything. There was scene in the movie when Steve Jobs fires one of his best programmers because he didn’t think that the font of the final product was important. That is a great lesson for me because sometimes i know some of the things that i do i don’t do it to my best or do it as perfectly as i can. That was not the case for Steve Jobs. He wanted the best before he launched any product. That was what made Apple famous- being the best in many different things.
Steve Jobs Lesson #2 Do better? Be Different! Two is the idea of business. In the movie, Steve Job said something like: You don’t look at your competitors and say how can we do it better, you look at your competitors and say how can we do it differently. In business and in life, many people compare with how everyone else is doing it and some will strive to be a little better than others. But Steve Jobs was always looking for different ways to champion Apple’s products and services. The ipod, the iphone, icloud and the ipad all were the first of their kind and many other companies followed suit. He didn’t try to create a better walkman, he created an ipod mp3 which gave so much more value to the customer. Steve Jobs Lesson #3 Anything impossible is possibleThree, before this post gets a little too long, is the idea that many things at first would seem impossible. But if you believe in your vision and YOU believe it can be done, fight for it and pursue it. There was an moment in the movie when Steve Jobs was going to hire a technician to redesign a component that supplied energy to his computer, that didn’t need a cooler and that had to be really quiet (silent in fact). The technician at first couldn’t believe it could be done, but later on the technician himself had a breakthrough and helped Apple for many years designing and figuring out things. So many things that you want to do or have a vision in doing many people would tell you it cannot be done. So what you must do is to go and do it. Thank you for reading this blog post!
